Great Bend Area Parks
Brit Spaugh Park North Main Street from 19th Street to 24th Street. The 46-acre park area includes an aquatic center, shelter houses with grills and picnic tables, playground equipment, skate park, MBX bike park, basketball courts, tennis courts, two lighted softball fields, Little League field, lighted horseshoe pits, and restrooms. 

ByPass Park Highway 281 By-Pass & Broadway. This one-acre park offers a shelter house with grill and picnic tables, playground equipment, and water fountain. 

Eisenhower Park Lakin & Garfield. Little League ball field, soccer field, basketball court and paved parking. 

Harms Ball Park 24th & Highway 281 By-Pass. This 7-acre park offers a softball field and lighted baseball field.

Heizer Park 8th & Heizer. Picnic tables and grills, play station, junior league ball field, soccer field, volleyball court, and paved parking. 

Lafayette Park Jack Kilby Square, Main Street. Band shell with benches, flower beds, fountain, walkways, Kansas Quilt Walk, Civil War statue, and seasonal ice-skating rink. 

Stone Lake Railroad Avenue & South Washington. At this 43-acre park, you’ll find a fishing lake, limited boating, fishing docks, and riverside nature trail. 

Veteran’s Memorial Park & Lake McKinley Street from 17th Street to 21st Street. This 78-acre park offers a fishing lake, limited boating, restrooms, ball field complex (concession stand, restrooms, dressing rooms, lighted baseball field, two lighted softball fields, two Little League fields), tennis courts, shelter houses with grills and tables, walking trail, handicap accessibility, playground equipment, sand beach, and restrooms. On the West side of the lake is the Bark Park, where you can let your dog run and play with other dogs.
