Wetlands Aquatic Center
Wetlands Aquatic Center is another Great Bend surpriseand it’s a refreshing one! Located at 2303 Main Street, right next to the Brit Spaugh Zoo, the Wetlands is the perfect place to spend a hot summer day.
Step through the beautiful, new, handicap-accessible bathhouse into a water park made for fun. There’s green grass, shade, sun, a big welcoming pool and fabulous water play areas. Water slides are great fun for everyone, but when you’re wet enough, you can relax in the shade or work on your tan in a comfortable lounge chair. The water feature has zero depth entry so it’s easy to get in and out for everyone!
Those who dare (or those who are too hot to care) can stand under the 300-gallon tipping bucket for a good drenching. A little less intense, but just as much fun are the spray features. The swimming pool is big and inviting with a deep end divided from a shallow end complete with floatables. The concession stand has tempting treats for hungry swimmers. It’s easy to spend the day floating and soaking at the Wetlands. There are even family nights and special events scheduled throughout the summer. This is a great place to make memories with your friends and family.
