Great Bend's central location in the state as well as its inevitable position along the Central Flyway makes it the ideal place to base a hunting adventure. Great natural resources, wetlands, and grain crops offer ideal conditions for wildlife. Within one hour's distance of Great Bend, you will find over 60,000 acres of public hunting areas, including Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area.

Hunting on land leased by the State of Kansas does not require land owner permission. If you want to hunt on other private lands, you must receive permission from the land owner.
