Great Bend Area Parks
Every night in the summer, you can hear bats cracking and crowds cheering at ball fields all over Great Bend. The great American pastime has a home here and it seems like everyone plays. Take a seat on the bleachers and enjoy everything from the talented kids in Little League to the almost professional American Legion team.
The city has made a commitment to its parks and it shows. Not only do they feature many fine ball fields, they bloom with color. There are picnic tables, lakes, beaches, trees, walking trails, soccer fields, a great zoo, and places to fish, bike, skate, play horseshoes, or rent a paddleboat. Make one of Great Bend’s parks part of your visit. You’ll feel right at home.
